Coming from Geneva airport, just follow the EVIAN or THONON signs. When approaching Thonon, follow the ABONDANCE, CHÂTEL or MORGINS directions or follow VAL D’ABONDANCE.
La Chapelle d’Abondance
There are three possible roads to reach the apartment. Two of these are steeper than the other one. When there is snow, those two are not to be recommended.
It’s easy to follow the signs to the Chabi hotel because they are more or less our neighbours.
One thing is for sure: once you have passed (underneath) the Panthiaz ski lift you have gone too far, and you will have to return. Coming from Abondance and driving through La Chapelle, you will see the church to your right. Somewhat farther, you will see hotel Les Cornettes to your left. Carry on, and take the first road to the left after you have passed the hotels. This is the road to hotel Le Chabi, and to our apartment. In heavy snow conditions this road may require the use of chains. Good winter tyres will usually suffice. After the Z-curve you will see hotel Le Chabi to your left. Turn left onto the car park in the next curve. Your parking place is sign-posted OPT No8, and is on the right hand side.
After leaving the car, the first building you pass on your left hand side is Le Télémark. The second building is L’Op-traken. You will have to carry your luggage or you could reverse the car and unload it closer to the building. It is a narrow passage.
Apartment number 8 is to your left at the same level if you walk from the car park to the building.
